Tent Brazil planned to do GO Experience seminars all over Brazil. When the corona-pandemic hit the nation, they had to come up with new solutions.

“The response from people taking the seminar, has been overwhelming,” says Tent Brazil’s director, Gustavo Borges. No one had foreseen that the corona pandemic would stop the well-thought-out seminar plans made by Tent Brazil’s team. It was this team that created the GO Experience name, and everyone were looking forward to presenting the seminar content across their nation.

“We started with the project implementation on January 2020 and were ready to start our seminar journey when the pandemic hit our country. Despite canceling everything, we did not give up. A month later, trying to adjust to quarantine life, the Tent Brazil leadership team had an online meeting. Everyone shared the same dream: to transform the GO Experience seminar into an online experience. We weighed our options and understood that online meetings, with the same content that we had already prepared, could work well. It needed to bring a personal connection and allow the students to interact with the team, “says Gustavo Borges.

The team moved fast. The seminar content was adapted to an online format in one week. Then the team started to promote the experience.

“We limited the first seminar to 50 seats to avoid overburdening the support team. After 10 days the seminar was fully booked. People from the north to the south of Brazil and some that are currently living in Europe participated in the seminar. We have been learning and sharing good and not-so-good experiences without stepping outside of our houses,” says Borges.

The next run of the seminar in Brazil is already being planned. Other Tent branches are also planning to run their own GO Experience seminars under guidance from the Tent Brazil team.
