Faith and Work: Transforming the Workplace Through Christ This Advent

Read in your bible: Genesis 1:26-28; Colossians 3:23-24

The birth of Jesus marks the ultimate expression of God’s love and His commitment to redeem and restore His creation. From the manger in Bethlehem, God demonstrated His plan to work through Christ to bless the world. This same mission extends to us today in our work.

Genesis 1:26-28 shows that God created humanity to reflect His image, calling us to care for and cultivate His creation. Through our work, whether big or small, we become participants in His ongoing story of redemption. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us that every task, when done for the Lord, has eternal significance.

As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Christ, let us remember that He came to restore what was broken. Our work is a part of that restoration. By reflecting His love, creativity, and care in our professions, we join Him in bringing His light into the world, just as He first brought it to us that holy night in Bethlehem.
